The third annual Camas Comic Con returns on August 1, 2025, bringing together fans of comics, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, Disney, and everything in between. This beloved community event in Camas, WA, has quickly become a staple of the summer calendar, offering an accessible and welcoming alternative to larger comic conventions while maintaining the spirit of fandom celebration that appeals to enthusiasts of all ages.

Celebrate Creativity at Camas Comic Con: A Family-Friendly Fandom Festival!

The Camas Comic Con stands out as a uniquely accessible celebration where families can immerse themselves in the joyful world of fandoms together. From 5:00 to 8:00 pm, downtown will buzz with excitement as visitors participate in the popular “Fandom Fun!” Passport Activity, where families can collect stamps at participating businesses while solving trivia and puzzles, with each location visited increasing their chances to win fantastic prizes.

The first 300 attendees to check in will receive collectible lanyards sponsored by local businesses, including 4Ever Growing Kids, Fuel Medical Group, Salud Wine Bar, and several other community partners committed to making this event special.

Character encounters bring beloved fictional worlds to life throughout downtown, with members of the Star Wars Legion of Oregon and Portland Ghostbusters creating magical moments for fans, young and old. Children can channel their inner Jedi with Light Saber Lessons courtesy of Torchsong Entertainment, who will also offer comic book art activities for aspiring illustrators.

The Portland Ghostbusters add to the supernatural fun by hosting slime-making sessions sponsored by 4Ever Growing Kids. Visitors can also explore a life-sized TARDIS from Doctor Who positioned outside the Liberty Theatre, creating the perfect photo opportunity for Whovians. This celebration truly offers something for every fandom, creating an atmosphere of inclusivity where all interests are celebrated.

Mark your calendars for August 1st, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm in Downtown Camas for this incredible family-friendly event. Early birds will be rewarded, as the first 50 children aged 4-12 will receive a free graphic novel to spark or nurture their love of storytelling.

The Downtown Camas Association sponsors a Fandom Pin Trading activity inside the Fuel Medical lobby from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, where participants receive five free fandom pins to start their collection and can trade with others to find their favorites. For extra chances to win prizes, attendees can take photos with fellow fans who share their fandom interests.

Beyond the specialized comic activities, the entire downtown transforms to celebrate creativity. Art enthusiasts can explore themed exhibitions at Gallery 408, RedDoor Gallery, and Juxtaposition, each featuring works inspired by popular fandoms.
